‘It was like sitting on top of a washing machine.’ Terrifying plane passengers are asked to pray for safe return
Passengers of Flight D7237 to Kuala Lumpur were ordered to get into the brace position for landing. A technical issue cost the plane to shake ‘like a washing machine.’
The AirAsia flight leaving from Perth carried 359 people on board and was about 90 minutes into the flight when the pilot identified what AirAsia says was a technical issue and had to return to Perth. He asked the passengers to pray for a safe return.
‘It was literally like you were sitting on top of a washing machine,’ passenger Brenton Atkinson told ABC radio.
Why the plane started shaking and couldn’t contain altitude is now under investigation which can take several months.
