The United States and United Kingdom both ban all electronic devices bigger than a phone on airports. Laptops, tablets, camera’s, DVD players and electronic games will not be allowed in the cabins and from now on only will be allowed in checked baggage.
The ban comes from officials at the United States department for homeland security. They argue extremists are planning to bring down passenger jets with bombs hidden devices. Phones will be exempt from the new rules. The airports are in Cairo, Istanbul, Kuwait City, Doha, Qatar, Casablanca, Morocco, Amman, Jordan, Riyadh and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and Dubai and Abu Dhabi in United Arab Emirates.

The carriers had been given until Friday to comply with the new policy.
