You can visit a spectacular ice wonderland in the North-East of China
Every year the Chinese town of Harbin hosts the biggest ice and snow event in the world. The 33rd Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture festival has “Ice Snow Joy Ode, Meet in Harbin” as a theme.
About 10.000 workers cut and haul blocks of ice and turn them into magnificient sculptures. The tallest sculpture is 46 meters high. Lights in different colors make it a fairytale like town to walk trough and the freezing cold keeps the ice sculptures from melting. In Harbin temperatures can drop to -25°C (-13°F) in winter. So make sure you wear some gloves and a hat when you visit this amazing place.
